The Kalumbila Multi Facility Economic Zone (MFEZ) offers Zambia Development Agency-ZDA applicable investment incentives and world-class infrastructure in a business-friendly town with access to regional and international trade. The MFEZ incentivizes new & developing mining services companies and peripheral industries needed by an upcoming town.

Incentives and Eligibility for Investors

The MFEZ has been established to provide investors in priority sectors with incentives that are in line with the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) Act No.11 of 2006. These include:

  • KTDC MFEZ Application Form
  • Zambia Development Agency ZDA Investment License- Required to access incentives
  • Certified copy of the Company Registration/ Incorporation
  • Certified Copy of the share capital
  • Zambia Revenue Authority TPIN
  • Certified Copy of List of Directors and/or directors
  • ID/Passport certified
  • Detailed Business Concept and Proposal
  • Verifiable proof of finance to develop
  • Brief resume of Shareholders and or Directors
  • Proposed layout plan and land size requirement
  • Land acquisition option - Purchase or Lease option
  • KTDC pre-approval of development plans and project concept
  • Value of investment: as per Zambia Development Agency-ZDA guidelines
  • Scrutiny of investors capability to fund the development- Audited accounts and statements
  • Job Creation Forecast; expected number of jobs to be created by the investment
  • Export Potential: Expected exports for the operation
  • Value Chain maximization; Through the local content and impact of the operation

Each investor is required to undertake operational sector approvals with the respective agencies/organizations. Sector approvals vary depending on the investor involvement but will be required to get Zambia Environmental Management Agency-ZEMA and Kalumbila Town Council. All investors are required to obtain Occupancy Certificates, Fire Certificate, Business License, Workers Compensation, National Pension Scheme Authority among others.
